A charity concert, marking 30 years of Mr. Paata Burchuladze’s Opera career was held at the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre. The St. Petersburg philharmonic symphonic orchestr conducted by the legendary Yuri Temirkanov participated in the concert, at the end of which 4 families of many children were handed over the house keys. Mr Zaza Sioridze, Chairperson of the VTB Bank Supervisory Board, acquired a private house for Ms. Lela Gegeshidze, mother of six. Mr. Manuchar Akhalaia, Director General of “Madneuli ” JSC, made a donation of an apartment to the Sigua family of many children. On behalf of Mr. Mamuka Khazaradze, the TBC Group President, Ms Tamar Kirvalidze, the representative of JRDC, a TBC partner, Ms. Irina Kvachadze, mother of many was handed over the apartment key. Maestro Yuri Temirkanov handed over the key to the apartment, acquired for Ms Marika Mamaiashvili, mother of 6 by Mr. Giorgi Tavadze, an “Iavnana” friend. Maya Tomadze scholarship, established by Mr.Giorgi Rukhadze, the opera singer’s son was granted to Sopo Mchedlishvili and Gocha Abuladze, the Tbilisi Conservatoire prominent students. Some of the best students of various Georgian Universities and Institutes were given computers donated by Nadia and Alexis Sikorsky, the “Iavnana” friends. A part of the revenues of the charity concert went into funding the education fee of David Aladashvili, the gifted young pianist, the first to study at the Julliard School of Music, the USA. Right after the charity concert, the star celebrating Mr. Paata Burchuladze, the world renowned Georgian opera singer and the UN GoodWill Ambassador was opened in front of the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theater.
