On Mr. Paata Burchuladze’s invitation, Mr. Dmitry Yurovsky of the dynasty of renowned conductors arrived in Tbilisi

On 30 November, a charity concert marking Gustav Mahler’s 150 anniversary was held in Tbilisi. The concert featuring Mahler’s 5-th symphony had been supported by the “Iavnana” Charity Foundation, Ms. Eva Berger, the Austrian Honorary Consul, the Embassy of Austria in Georgia and the Airzena aviation company.

Mr. Paata Burchuladze: “Although the youngest in the family of the distinguished conductors, Dmitry Yurovsky, has gained a worldwide fame. I am happy he had agreed to our invitation and conducted the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre Orchestra at the concert held at the Tbilisi Art-Hall on 30 November”.

A few days before Maestro Dmitry Yurovsky conducted Eugene Onegin’s first night at the Monte-Carlo Opera, with Paata Burchuladze performing Gremin. The performance was attended by Prince Albert and the other members of the Royal Family.
