On 20 October, the closing ceremony of the XIII International “Tbilisi Sunrise” Young Filmmakers Festival was held at the Theatrical Hall of the National Palace.

The event involved delegations from Georgia, Belgium, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Germany, Japan, Iran, Russia, Armenia and Ukraine.

“Other Side of Door” made by Uta Saaki, the young Japanese film director was awarded the main price together with “Iavnana” Foundation’s monetary award.

The aim of the Festival was communication between the young filmmakers, promotion of their critical and creative thinking and ultimately, finding new talents. Also, the program envisaged popularization of the Georgian culture among young foreigners, making friends and joint cultural, ports and educational programs.
