For his contribution to the Opera, the Georgian Writers’ Union made Mr. Paata Burchuladze the knight of the Georgian culture. At the ceremony in the National Library, Ms. Makvala Gonashvili, head of the Writers’ Union handed over the award to the world renowned opera singer and maecenas. Among the other award winners were Chabua Abirejibi and Mukhran Machavariani, writers and Mr. Rezo Chkheidze, film director. Mr. Paata Burchuladze was elected member of the National Library Fiends’ Club.
