On 8 October 2007, a charity concert, commemorating thirty years since the enthronement of Ilya II, the Georgian Orthodox Patriarch was held at the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre. Ms. Zina Kverenchkhiladze, the distinguished Georgian actor, accompanied by the religious hymns, created by the Patriarch, recited the poetic and prosaic masterpieces. Beethoven’s Egmont was performed in the second part of the cultural event (Ms. Marika Gulordava, soprano, the prize-winner of the Chaikovsky and Monserrat Caballe competitions)
