On October 28 2012, an award giving ceremony of the Tbilisi marathon participants was held in the surroundings of the Tbilisi Sea.

The Tbilisi marathon was the first semi-marathon in Georgia aiming at promotion of the healthy lifestyle and charity, as well. It was a joint Heidelberg-cement and Georgian Athletic Federation project, which involved both the professionals and amateurs.

The registration fee of 5 000 GEL is going to be transferred to “Iavnana” Charity Foundation in support of the beneficiaries of the towns of Rustavi and Kaspi. However, Heidelberg-cement, the initiator of the project transfers double the sum.

True to its social responsibility, Heidelberg-cement, the building materials’ producer carries out social projects in the regions where its enterprises are located. In case of the Tbilisi marathon, it was the beneficiaries residing in the capital Tbilisi, the town of Rustavi and Kaspi region.
