Mr. Sanro Gegechkori, 18 has been an «Iavnana» scholarship holder for a few years now. In 2017, he was awarded grand-prix – two special prizes at the international piano competition in Vienna followed by Rakhmaninov prize given to him in the Russian town of Tambov in 2018. Incidentally, “Gegechkori at Rakhmaninov’s” youth festival was established at the memorial museum of the great composer. On 1 November 2018, supported by «Iavnana» Foundation, Sandro left for New-York, the venue of Claudette Sorel International Piano Competition in Fredonia. On 4 November along with his fellow participants – Evan Hu, Stephen Patiaux, Lukasz Yoder, Sandro Gegechkori was co-claimed.
